he says as he sets her down in his room and finds his old cancer symbol shirt - should be big enough to cover her clothes.
“Anybody can wear a pair of stockings, including people who’re mean rotten lying…you get the point.”
he helps the neckhole over her horns, pats down her hair a bit, then chucks her gently under the chin.
“wear whatever you like, be it pretty or so hideous it makes Kanaya scream and faint; it is the person who wears them, what they are like, that is or isn’t truly beautiful. A person who cares, who understands, who helps, a person who is strong for their own beliefs. these qualities make Annie Fef the most beautiful Empress to ever have ruled…..and those qualities are ones I would hope my girls, and you too, aspire to.”

I feel like people who play very popular characters and are popular blogs become much too mean to others. Being famous doesn’t make you a special snowflake.

i’m pretty sure she’s just playing with you in the way she knows how. kittens can’t very well play patty-cake or jump rope or something like that.

“Hey there sweetie. You look lovely, did you get all prettied up just for us, or are you just always so cute?”
She beams up at her uncle with white eyes and hugs his arm, laughing happily.
“Mommy says I’m always cute!! But I wanted to look pro… pro… professionate! I wasn’t supposed to wear stockings ‘cause I might ruin them but I think they’re prettiful so I should wear them a lot.”
She nods sagely, this makes perfect sense.
“well, while the thought is nice, we’re gonna be cooking, which is very likely to cause some mess…so lets go find an old shirt of mine you can use for a smock”
He picks her up in his arms and continues chatting.
“but you know, stockings aren’t the only way to look professional - it depends on what profession you are looking to look like!”
“for example, an artist, be it a sculptor of clay, painter, or plant-artist, looks their most professional when they’re messy with clay, paints, or leaves and petals, respectively.”
“if you wear prettiful things all the time though, it becomes very difficult for you over time, as you get older and finding prettiful things becomes more complicated, and people expect you to look prettiful ALL the time. its not all its cracked up to be, my dear. Auntie Fef has to look super prettiful for very long periods of time and she gets so tired after.”
perhaps she has mouth pains (tooth, or jaw, something like that) that are relieved slightly by biting a hard thing like your hand? alternatively if you play boop the nose too much any animal will get fed up…

can you tell the difference between play-biting and actual ‘i want to hurt you’ biting? for example a quick nip versus sinking teeth deep into your hand and trying to hang on as long as possible?
also does she seem angry?
She doesn’t seem angry, so much as she just wants to chew on my hand.

God no, more like Toddlers in Tiaras, Extreme Couponing, and Say Yes To The Dress.
toddlers in tiaras disgusts me. extreme couponing sounds like a wise choice.

i just said, that i taught them about it. and it led to further discussion about seacraft and how to destroy a vessel properly.
